Man Shot and Killed in Front of His Home


 

 

Los Angeles: On May 23, 2003, at 4:15 a.m., the victim, identified as Reginald Hightower, a male Black, 38 years of age, exited his residence and crossed the street, in the 200 block of Armona Court in the City of San Pedro. Unknown suspect(s) approached Hightower and fired numerous rounds at him.

Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics transported Hightower to Harbor UCLA Medical Center where he died from the gunshot wounds.

At this time the motive for this shooting is unknown and there is no suspect or weapon in custody.

Harbor Area Homicide is handling the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detectives VanderHorck or Ornelas at 310-548-2835. On weekends and during off-hours, call the 24-hour toll free number at the Detective Information Desk at 1-877-LAWFULL (1-877-529-3855).
