Drive-By Shooting Leaves One Dead NR19150ml

Wilmington: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Area Homicide Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the drive-by shooting death of 31-year-old Julio Cesar Urbina.

On June 2, 2019, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Julio Cesar Urbina was walking in the 1500 East Young Street in the city of Wilmington. Mr. Urbina was on the south sidewalk when a vehicle with unknown suspect(s) drove by and fired multiple rounds in Mr. Urbina’s direction, striking him and causing him to fall to the ground.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to render aid; however, Mr. Urbina succumbed to his injuries.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a dark colored SUV; however, the detectives do not have any leads as to the suspect’s identity and are asking for the public’s help.
