14-year-old Missing Female NR12539cj

Update 11-21-12

Guadalupe Lopez returned home and is safe with her family.

Los Angeles:
The family of Guadalupe Lopez and the Los Angeles Police Department are asking for the public's help to locate her.

On November 20, 2012, around 4:30 p.m., Lopez was last seen walking in the area of Eastlake and Broadway, headed home to 3200 block Griffin Avenue. Lopez told her 18-year-old friend that she was going to "hang out" at the house of one of her male friends and wanted to go alone. The Lopez’s friend did not accompany her to the male friend's home. Later that evening around 10:30 p.m., Lopez sent a text to her parents stating that she was on her way home. Lopez, however, did not return home. Lopez may be with friends unknown to her parents. Lopez's family is very concerned for her safety.

Lopez is described as a 14-year-old female Hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink/grey sweater and jeans. Lopez is wearing a silver necklace and silver/crystal earrings.

If you have seen, or have any information regarding the whereabouts of Guadalupe Lopez, please contact the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollenbeck Detectives, Detective Lebron at 323-342- 8997. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877- 527-3247). Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477). Tipsters may also contact Crime Stoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I¬M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone. All text messages should begin with the letters "LAPD." Tipsters may also go to LAPDOnline.org, click on "webtips" and follow the prompts.
