Hollywood Hills Burglars Caught NR09510bb

Los Angeles: Five suspects believed to be responsible for a string of burglaries inthe Hollywood Hills area are behind bars following multiple search warrant services and a coordinated effort between Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detectives and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.

On October 22, 2009, LAPD Hollywood Division detectives and personnel assigned to LAPD Operations West Bureau, along with members of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, served six search warrants in the cities of Los Angeles, Calabasas, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park and Las Vegas, Nevada.
 
As a result of these search warrants, five people were arrested and booked for residential burglary, with bail set at $50,000 each:
 
•Rachel Lee, 18 years old, arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada
•Courtney Ames, 18 years old, arrested locally
•Alexis Neiers, 18 years old, arrested locally
•Diana Tamayo, 19 years old, arrested locally
•Roy Lopez, Jr., 27 years old, arrested locally        

Numerous items of property were recovered as a result of these search warrants.  Property recovered was among that stolen during a series of burglaries committed at the residences of well known celebrities.  Also recovered during one of the search warrants were three firearms and a large amount of narcotics.
