Suspect Killed During an Attempt Burglary

Los Angeles: On Saturday, March 15, 2003, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Hollywood officers responded to a, "Suspects Breaking into a Residence, Armed with Guns" radio call in the 2100 block of Sunset Plaza Drive.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 21 year-old male, Hispanic with several gunshot wounds. Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the resident of the location was confronted with an armed intruder, apparently intending to burglarize the location. The resident subsequently shot and killed the intruder. The suspect was possibly with a second unidentified suspect who remains outstanding.
The identity of the shooting victim is being withheld pending the notification of his family.
