What:
Benefit concert to raise funds for the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation

When:
Wednesday, June 13, 2007
7:30 p.m.

Where:
The Avalon
1735 Vine Street
Hollywood, CA 90028

Who:
Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation
Legendary Rock Singer Paul Rodgers
Special Reserve Officer and Heaven and Earth Guitarist Stuart Smith

Why:
The Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation in conjunction with British Rock Guitarist Stuart Smith, who is coincidentally a Special Reserve Officer in the LAPD, is putting on a benefit rock concert to raise funds for the Foundation. The Memorial Foundation provides financial grants to officers in times of catastrophic need including death, illness and injury. Also, the Memorial Foundation provides for the college education of the surviving dependents of officers killed in the line of duty.

The concert will be headlined by legendary rock singer Paul Rodgers and Smith's own band Heaven & Earth.

All the artists involved have donated their time and 100% of the proceeds raised will go to the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation. The concert is sponsored by The Avalon, All Access Magazine, Taser Corporation, Fender Guitars, Gibson Guitars and Black Star Records.

For more information or to schedule an interview, please contact Kevin Phillips of Black Star Records at 818-888-0013. Alan Atkins, Executive Director, Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation and Special Reserve Officer and Heaven and Earth guitarist Stuart Smith will be available for interviews on Tuesday.
