Annual 'True Blue' Event Honors Outstanding Police Officers and Producer Jerry Bruckheimer
What: The Los Angeles Police Foundation will host the ninth annual True Blue event, honoring the outstanding service of two Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers and acclaimed film and television producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Mr. Bruckheimer’s celebrated work includes television shows CSI, The Amazing Race and The Eleventh Hour, along with feature films such as Armageddon, Pirates of the Caribbean and National Treasure.
Festivities include music, a live and silent auction, gourmet dinner buffets, a moving presentation of the Crystal Angel Award and excellent visual opportunities:
LAPD interactive exhibits and demonstrations such as the Force Options Simulator, an Edged Weapons Expert, T-3 Mobile Unit obstacle course and other police equipment and state-of-the-art technologies
Presentations and displays by LAPD’s SWAT Team, Mounted Platoon,
K-9 Bomb Squad and our new Black and White Helicopter
Red carpet access to guest celebrities and dignitaries
