Man Shot to Death in Hollywood NR11482bb

Los Angeles:  The LAPD Hollywood Division Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information about the shooting and murder of a man in Hollywood.

On Saturday October 15, at around 12:35 a.m., Hollywood Area patrol officers responded to a “shots fired” call in the area of Gower Street and Hollywood Boulevard.  When the officers arrived, they found a man, later identified as 21-year-old Franklin Munoz, lying on the sidewalk with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his body.

Los Angeles City Fire Department Rescue Ambulance responded to the scene and transported Munoz to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

There is no information about the suspect at this time. The detectives believe the motive for this shooting to be gang related.
