Pedestrian Severely Injured in Hit and Run NR17038im
Hollywood: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department's West Traffic Division are asking for the public's help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved in a hit and run collision that severely injured a 50-year-old man.On January 31, 2017, at 10:50 p.m., a 50-year-old man was crossing the street, northbound on Santa Monica Boulevard when a vehicle traveling eastbound on Santa Monica Boulevard collided with the pedestrian. The suspect vehicle is possibly a Ford F150, dark in color. The vehicle fled the scene and did not render aid to the victim as required by law.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender's identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
