Unlike the services of mediation or conciliation provided by Associate Ombuds Officers, the workplace assessment process seeks to resolve interpersonal group conflicts that affect the successful functioning of units, sections, areas or teams. The Workplace Assessment Team accomplishes this by reviewing employee complaints of work environments that are perceived to be hostile, offensive or intimidating to employees in a manner that is supportive, informal and with limited confidentiality. They conduct in-depth workplace assessments, provide training and make recommendations to supervisors and command staff for improving the work environment.
