LAPD Community Policing Partner of the week

Mrs. Geneva Green is 77th Street Area’s Los Angeles Police Department Community Policing Partner of the Week as a result of her dedication to community service and the passion and desire she exhibits.

Geneva has lived in the Windsor Hills area of Los Angeles for the past 17 years.   She resides with her husband and one of her sons.  Geneva has been a full time employee with Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water for the past 36 years.  Some of her hobbies include bowling, cooking, reading and singing. Geneva has been a faithful member of Holy Light Missionary Church for the past 19 years.  She is the chairperson of the church’s Education Department and a member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America.

Geneva has been a volunteer in the 77th Street Area Jeopardy Program since June 2004.  She utilizes her parental skills with several youth in the community.  Geneva clearly states, “I am smart enough to know that I cannot help, nor save all of these children, but if I can help or save just one at a time, I will have given back to the community.”  Geneva is an Area Block Club member.  Geneva is extremely dedicated to the 77th Street Area Jeopardy Program, and maintains a desire to create a positive atmosphere while making a difference in the lives of “our” youth.

Geneva’s hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence is greatly appreciated. Geneva’s partnership has been instrumental in the Department’s Community Policing efforts and has enhanced the quality of life for citizens in Los Angeles.
