LAPDOnline works as an integral part of Public Communications Section, Media Relations and Community Affairs Group, and the Office of the Chief of Police to build, maintain and upgrade the Department’s website. It is the goal of all personnel assigned to this unit to ensure that the LAPD has a world-class law enforcement presence on the Internet.

LAPDOnline’s functions include reviewing, administering, and updating all web site content as well as responding to all public e-mail inquiries. Additionally, LAPDOnline personnel provide Internet training to Divisional/Area web site coordinators citywide.
