The Officer Representation Unit provides sworn Los Angeles Police Department Personnel with professional, ethical, and assertive representation as defense, personnel complaint review, Liberty Interest, Skelly, and other administrative investigation interview representatives. Detective Cherie Clair is the Officer-in-Charge of the Officer Representation Section.
The Officer Representative Section is responsible for the following:
providing functional supervision and logistical and clerical support to Department personnel selected as employee representatives
assisting sworn personnel in obtaining the necessary type of employee representative
identifying training needs and coordinating training of Department personnel in the handling of employee representation matters
and researching and reviewing legislation and court decisions related to employee representation.
