The office of the Governmental Liaison (GL) acts to ensure the accuracy and the expeditious forwarding of communications, both written and verbal, between the Chief of Police, the Mayor’s office, and the Los Angeles City Council, at large.
Governmental Liaison establishes and maintains clear lines of communication between the Chief of Police and Legislators. GL also facilitates the analysis of legislation that has potential for impact upon the operations of the Los Angeles Police Department.
