Funeral Services for Slain Officer Ricardo Lizarraga

 

Los Angeles: On February 20, 2004, Police Officer Ricardo Lizarraga was killed in the line of duty, while investigating a Domestic Violence radio call.

The following is information regarding the funeral mass, arrival routes, interment, procession route and street closures:

FUNERAL MASS:
Friday, February 27, 2004
10:00 a.m.
Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels
555 West Temple Street
Los Angeles, California 90012

ARRIVAL ROUTES:
Southbound 101 FWY exit Temple Street
Northbound 101 FWY exit Grand Avenue

INTERMENT:
Immediately Following:
Holy Cross Cemetery
5835 West Slauson Avenue
Culver City, California 90230

PROCESSION ROUTE:
Southbound 110 FWY
Westbound 10 FWY
Exit La Cienega Boulevard/Venice Boulevard
Southbound La Cienega Boulevard to Slauson Avenue
Right on Slauson Avenue to Cemetery entrance

STREET CLOSURES:
7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Temple Street between Spring Street and Grand Avenue
8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Hill Street between First Street and Ord Street

*Note: Due to the nature of this event anticipate long traffic delays and please plan accordingly.
