IAG Avocate Section
 
 
The Advocate Section is primarily responsible for representing the Department’s interests in the Department’s administrative hearings, called Boards of Rights. A Board of Rights hearing is comprised of two sworn command or staff officers and one civilian community representative. The accused employee is present and is allowed representation. The Advocate Section is also tasked with preparation, service, and tracking of documents related to sustained complaint investigations.
