Homicide at Angel's Gate Park

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Wednesday, January 13, 1999

On Tuesday afternoon, January 12, 1999, at approximately 1:50 p.m., Victim Ann Kimberly Pickle, a female White, 41 years old, was at Angel's Gate Park, 3601 S. Gaffey Street, San Pedro. Suspect Renee Seiler, a female White, 37 years old, approached the victim and fired several shots in her direction.

The Victim was discovered in front of her van parked in front of the Marine Exchange with multiple gunshot wounds to her upper torso. She was transported by LAFD Rescue Unit to UCLA General Medical Center, 1000 West Carson, Los Angeles where she succumbed to her injuries.

The motive for this incident has not been established. Both suspect and weapon are in custody.

South Bureau Homicide Detectives are conducting the investigation. Anyone with information concerning this incident is requested to call South Bureau Homicide Detectives at (213) 237-1310.
