South Bureau Homicide Investigates a Murder in the Harbor Area

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Wednesday, January 27, 1999

On Wednesday morning, January 27, 1999 at 12:20 a.m., the body of a male, White, in his late 30's was discovered on the sidewalk in the 1600 Block of West 209th Street. Paramedics were called to the scene and transported the victim to Harbor UCLA Medical Center. The victim sustained a stab wound to the back and death was pronounced at 12:50 a.m.

The motive for the crime is unknown. The suspect and murder weapon are outstanding.

UPDATE:

The suspect has been apprehended and is currently in police custody.
