Van Nuys Detectives Request Information to Solve Murder

On Sunday, January 23, 2000, at approximately 6:50 P.M., Van Nuys Patrol Officers responded to a radio call of an Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Ambulance en-route, cutting at the alley to the rear of the 7100 block of Woodley Avenue.

At the location officers found the victim, Jose Luis Garcia Guerrero, 23 years of age, a resident of Van Nuys, suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper torso. Thee victim was transported by ambulance to Northridge Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries at 9:44 P.M.

No leads in this investigation have been developed at this time. The investigation is being conducted by Van Nuys Homicide Detectives.
