Dispute Escalates to Attempt Murder

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT

Wednesday, January 12, 2000

On Monday, January 10, 2000, at approximately 12:00 p.m., in the 1100 block of Normandie Avenue, a dispute between the victim, a 59-year-old male Korean and the suspect, 41-year-old Kwang Yoon occurred that escalated into a physical altercation. Yoon assaulted the victim causing serious injuries to the victims head area. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is reported to be in serious condition.

On Tuesday, January 11, 2000, Yoon was arrested and booked for attempt murder. The motive for the attack has not been established at this time.
