Home Invasion Robbery and Kidnap

Bel Air Estates - West Los Angeles Area detectives are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred at a residence in the Bel Air Area.

On Thursday, January 11, 2001, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the victim, a 45 year old male, was inside his residence in the 900 block of Airole Way when he was attacked by three suspects described only as male Blacks, 23-26 years of age. One of the suspects was armed with a knife. The suspects tied up the victim and demanded money. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash along with some personal property. After a short time, the suspects split up and forced the victim into his own vehicle and drove him to a residence in the San Marino area. The remaining suspects followed them to the same location. At the San Marino residence, the suspects for unknown reasons fled the scene in their vehicle, leaving the victim and his vehicle behind. The victim was treated for minor bruises and was not seriously injured.

West Los Angeles Area Operations Support Division is conducting this investigation. Anyone with information should contact the Robbery Detectives at 310-575-8441.
