Attempt Bank Robbery Suspects Shoot Customer

Los Angeles: On Thursday, January 17, 2002, at approximately 11:40 a.m., two male Black suspects entered the Family Savings Bank, at 3683 South Crenshaw Boulevard. One suspect was armed with an unknown type handgun. Inside the bank, the armed suspect fired one round in the direction of a security guard, which struck a bank customer in the upper right leg. The suspects then fled from the bank in a vehicle described as a black Ford F-150 pickup truck. The victim was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
The suspects fled without taking any money.
The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect #1: Male Black, 5’5" to 5’6", 150 lbs., 18 to 24 years, wearing dark shorts, sport tennis shoes and a long sleeve sweater shirt.
Suspect #2: Male Black, 5’8′, 145 to 150 lbs., 23 to 25 years, wearing dark clothing.
