Los Angeles: On Saturday, January 19, 2002 at approximately 3:55 a.m., Rampart Uniformed Officers responded to an "Assault with a Deadly Weapon" investigation at Alvarado Street and Kent Street. Upon arrival the officers observed Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics providing emergency medical treatment to the victim, described as a female, approximately 25 to 30 years of age. The victim sustained stab wounds to her upper torso. The victim was transported to USC Medical Center where she died as the result of her wounds.
