Shooting Death of a 25 Year-Old Female

 

Boyle Heights: On Friday, January 25, 2002, at approximately 11:20 p.m., 25 year-old Monica Castillo was sitting in her vehicle on the 3500 block of Siskiyou Street. A male Hispanic approximately 20-30 years old approached Ms. Castillo and fired a round into her vehicle, striking her in the upper torso.

Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported Ms. Castillo to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The motive is currently unknown and there is no further suspect information.
