Man Shot Dead While Seated In a Vehicle

 

Los Angeles: On January 21, 2003, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department Southeast Area officers responded to a "shots fired" radio call in the 11600 block of south Avalon Boulevard.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered a 57 year-old, male, Korean shot to death in his vehicle.

The subsequent investigation determined that the victim was parked in his vehicle located in the rear parking lot and was employed as a security guard at the apartment building at that location.

The victim has been identified as Soon-Jae Baek of Los Angeles.

The motive is unknown and suspect(s) and the murder weapon are outstanding.
