Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Commanding Officer, Captain Bill Williams, and Family Representative of Victim Constance Brooks.

What:
A Press Conference to Announce the Reward for Information Leading to the Arrest of a Hit and Run Driver

When:
Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at 10:30 a.m.

Operations West Bureau Community Room 4849 west Venice Boulevard

Los Angeles: On November 21, 2002, at approximately 11:35 p.m., 64 year-old Constance Brooks was walking across San Vicente Boulevard at Hauser Boulevard, when an unknown type, dark vehicle, being driven eastbound on San Vicente Boulevard collided with her and failed to stop. She was transported from the scene to a local hospital where she died from her injuries. On January 14, 2003 the Los Angeles City Council, with the assistance of Los Angeles City Councilman Nate Holden’s office, approved a reward in the amount of $25,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the hit and run driver.

A color photograph of the victim will be available during the press conference.
