Detective’s Investigate a Gang Related Homicide

 

Los Angeles: On Friday, January 31, 2003, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department Foothill Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of a "Possible Murder Investigation" on the 13000 block of Carl Street. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers were directed to the body of Francisco Ortiz Gonzales, a 27 year-old resident of Panorama City.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot numerous times and died at the scene. The motive appears to be gang related.
