Domestic Dispute Turns Into Attempt Murder

Los Angeles: Central Area Homicide Detectives are investigating the attempted murder of a 39 year-old Female Hispanic.
On January 6, 2004, about 10:25 p.m., a witness observed the victim dangling from the 5th story window of the Alexandria Hotel located, located at 501 South Spring Street in the City of Los Angeles. According to the witness, a few seconds later the victim disappeared from her view. When the witness looked back, she saw the victim lying on the sidewalk.
Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported the victim to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center. The victim is listed in critical condition.
The motive appears to be domestic violence. A suspect is under investigation, however his name is being withheld pending further investigation. The victim’s name is not available pending notification to her family.
