Zero Tolerance Crime Task Force in Devonshire Area

Los Angeles: On Thursday, January 15, 2004, more than 50 officers from Devonshire Division, Valley Traffic Division, and Valley Bureau Headquarters, will conduct a Zero Tolerance Crime Task Force in the San Fernando Valley.

The focus of this task force is to reduce violent crime, blatant street narcotic sales, gang activity and to address quality of life issues affecting the San Fernando Valley. Additionally, the task force has been coordinated in direct response to the complaints and concerns expressed by community members in North Hills and Panorama City.

In the past, Zero Tolerance Crime Task Forces in the San Fernando Valley have resulted in hundreds of traffic citations, vehicle impounds and numerous arrests for criminal activity. This ongoing effort and similar task forces will be conducted in other parts of the San Fernando Valley throughout the year.
