55 Year-old Woman Killed While In the Crosswalk

 

Los Angeles: On Friday, January 23, 2004, at about 1:20 p.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Cesar Chavez Avenue and Broadway.

A Metropolitan Transit Authority bus was traveling northbound on Broadway making a right turn, eastbound onto Cesar Chavez Avenue. The bus struck 55 year –old Anna Cecilia Sanchez Guzman, as she was walking northbound within the crosswalk.

Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Ms. Guzman dead as a result of her injuries. The collision is still under investigation by Central Traffic Detectives.
