Gunfire Erupts Leaving One Dead

 

Los Angeles: On January 27, 2004, at about 12:45 p.m., the victim, Frankie Harris, 20 years old, was walking toward his parked vehicle in the 8600 block of South Crocker Street. As the victim neared his vehicle, two armed suspects appeared from between several parked vehicles. Both suspects, without provocation began shooting at the victim. Numerous rounds were fired at the victim, striking him several times.

The suspects then fled from the area. Responding Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital. The victim failed to respond to emergency medical treatment and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The motive appears to be gang related.
