Detectives Announce Second Homicide in Miura Murder Case What: Press Conference for Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Robbery-Homicide Division detectives to announce a finding that an additional murder has been attributed to Kazuyoshi Miura. When: Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009 2 p.m. Where: LAPD Parker Center Auditorium 150 N. Los Angeles Street Los Angeles, CA 90012 Who: LAPD Deputy Chief Charles Beck, Detective Bureau LAPD Detectives Rick Jackson and Richard Bengtson Why: To announce developments that detectives have implicated Miura as the suspect in the 1979 murder of Chizuko Shiraishi. Detectives will discuss substantial and compelling evidence that lead them to their findings regarding Miura's responsibility for the murder. Detectives will announce there is sufficient evidence to close the case.
