12-Year-Old Middle School Student Missing NR11016kr

***UPDATE***

On January 11, 2011, at about 7 p.m., Christopher was located in good condition and reunited with his family.

Los Angeles: The family of Christopher Alfaro and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) are asking for the public’s help in locating Christopher who has been missing since Monday morning.

On January 10, 2011, at around 9:00a.m., Christopher was seen leaving his residence in the 8600 block of Willis Avenue, on his way to Vista Middle School, located at 15040 Roscoe Bl., in Panorama City.  Christopher attended his classes Monday, but it is unclear what time he left school.  He did not return home in the evening and his family has not heard from him, causing them great concern. Christopher does not have a history of running away and there are no signs of foul play in his disappearance.

Christopher is described as a male Hispanic, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 105 pounds with a thin build and light complexion.

Anyone with information about Christopher’s whereabouts is asked to call LAPD’s Mission Division Detectives at 818-838-9800. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247).  Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477). Tipsters may also contact Crimestoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone.  All text messages should begin with the letters “LAPD.”  Tipsters may also go to LAPDOnline.org, click on "webtips" and follow the prompts.
