34-Year-Old Man Shot and Killed NR11031gb
Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) 77th Division, Criminal Gang Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that will lead to the arrest of a suspect(s) responsible for the shooting of a 34-year-old man on January17, 2011 in South Los Angeles.
At about 3:00 a.m., Edjardo Chavez was found shot to death in the street, in front of a residence in the 140 block of West 73rd Street. A citizen saw Chavez lying on the ground and called for assistance.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics rushed Chavez to a local hospital where he died.
There is no suspect description and the weapon remains outstanding. Detectives are trying to understand what prompted the shooting.
