**UPDATE**

North Hollywood Detectives have made two arrests in conjunction with the January 9th shooting death of Danilo Estuardo Morales.

Two suspects are in custody and have been booked at Valley Jail Section for murder:

Rene Ramirez, 29 yrs old, resident of Mission HillsBooked for Murder (187 PC)  at LAPD Valley Jail Section -NO BAIL.

Evin Adonis Ortiz, 22 years old, resident of Valley Glen.  Booked for Murder (187 PC)  at LAPD Valley Jail Section -NO BAIL.The suspect’s vehicle is in custody and is being examined by detective personnel.We are still seeking additional information regarding the third suspect involved in this crime and continue to seek the public’s assistance in this investigation.  Contact numbers for North Hollywood Detective personnel are listed below.

Detectives have released a second photograph of the suspect vehicles rear section that clearly show it has a spare tire attached.  They are hoping the images will help them identify the suspects connected to this brutal murder.

Detectives have released a photograph of the vehicle believed involved in this murder, a white, 1997-1999, Mitsubishi Montero.  Detectives are asking for anyone with information about this vehicle or those involved  in this crime to contact them immediately at the numbers listed below.

Los Angeles: On Monday evening, a 24-year-old man was killed while coming to the aid of his grandfather who as being robbed in his driveway.

On January 9, 2012 at 6:45 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department North Hollywood patrol responded to a call of shots fired in the 8100 block of Coldwater Canyon Boulevard.  When they arrived, they discovered a male down on Willard Street just west of Coldwater Canyon Boulevard, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.  He was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Investigators discovered that a robbery had occurred to behind a residence. The victim, identified as Danilo Estuardo Morales, came to the aid of his grandfather who was being robbed. The suspects were seen getting into a white, mid-sized SUV with a broken rear window and a long rear reflector light. Morales was shot while chasing after the robbery suspects.
