WHY: Police Academy Magnet School’s first annual Jog-A-Thon will showcase PAMS students’ commitment to their school. This event will highlight the endurance, stamina and dedication of all the cadets ranging between 11 to 18 years of age in the Police Academy Magnet program.

This is a fun event where students will walk, jog, or run to raise funds and show support for their schools. The event also brings awareness of the importance of having an active lifestyle while making positive choices. The schools will use the funds specifically for the Police Academy Magnet School program to provide uniforms, classroom supplies, buses for field trips, leadership training, and other activities.

The Los Angeles Police Reserve and Youth Education Section continuously seeks qualified community members who have the desire to serve others by becoming a Los Angeles Reserve Police Officer.
