Homicide Investigation

Rampart Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 43 years old male white.

On Tuesday, October 20, 1998, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the victim was working in the D and D Pawn Shop, located at 3101 West 6th Street. Three male Black suspects entered the shop posing as patrons. The suspects displayed guns and demanded money. During the course of the robbery the victim was shot. The suspects fled the location on foot with an unknown amount of property.

The victim was transported to U.S.C. Medical Center where he died as a result of his wounds. He was pronounced dead at 3:00 p.m. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to the family.

The suspects and weapons are outstanding. The motive for this murder was robbery. Rampart Homicide Detectives are conducting the investigation.
