Six Year Old is Fatally Hit by a Car

On July 30, at approximately 8:15 pm, six year old Katie Rauda ran northbound out from the front of a parked car that was parked on the south side of Camarillo St., west of Riverton Ave. An eastbound vehicle driven by Elizabeth Jeri Howard struck Katie Rauda. Rauda was transported to St. Joseph Hospital where she was treated for her injuries. This morning, at approximately 11:30 am Rauda succumbed to her injuries at Huntington Memorial Hospital. The accident is still under investigation.
