Victim of stabbing dies in Wilshire Division

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Friday, July 16, 1999

On July 14, 1999 at 5:50 p.m., a murder occurred at the 2100 block of Wellington Road. The victim was stabbed multiple times in the upper portion of his body. The victim was identified as Clifton Stovall, male, African-American, 68 years of age.

The victim was inside his residence at the time of the crime. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The motive for the crime is unknown and it is also unknown if any property was taken.
