Media Invited to LAPD DNC Training LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE Saturday, July 8, 2000 "Media Invited to LAPD DNC Training" San Pedro: In our continuing effort to adequately prepare for the upcoming 2000 Democratic national Convention, Metropolitan Division of the Los Angeles police Department will be conducting one of their many training sessions on Monday, July 10, 2000, at 3:30 P.M. Members of the media are cordially invited to attend this training session. It is anticipated that this training session will provide members of the public with some insight into the preparation efforts, currently being undertaken by the LAPD. A briefing by LAPD staff, on the Department's planning efforts, will precede the actual training session. Staff will then be available to handle questions with regard to the Department's preparedness efforts as they relate to the 2000 Democratic National Convention.
