Saturday, July 8, 2000



"DUI Results in Fatal Crash"

Los Angeles: On July 8, 2000 at approximately 6:45 AM, a fatal traffic collision occurred at the intersection of 37th Street and Normandie Avenue. A compact pick-up truck, traveling westbound on 37th Street, collided with a compact sedan traveling southbound on Normandie Ave.

The driver of the sedan, Grace Attah, 41 years of age, a resident of Los Angeles, was fatally injured in the collision. She was transported to USCMC where she was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the pick-up, 43 year old Michael Anderson, received minor injuries in the collision. The investigation revealed Mr. Anderson was Driving Under the Influence. He was booked for 191.5 PC (Gross Vehicular Manslaughter While Intoxicated).

South Traffic Division is conducting the investigation.
