Sunday, July 9, 2000


"Man Killed During Fight"
Los Angeles: On July 9, 2000, at 3:15 am, a 49 year old male was beaten and shot to death on Main Street at 68th Street. Witnesses who were in the area at the time of this incident told investigators two persons, identified only as Male Blacks, were fighting with the victim. The witnesses reported hearing approximately 10 gun shots during the altercation. The suspects then fled northbound on Main Street.

The victim sustained one gunshot wound to the upper torso. Responding paramedics pronounced death at the scene. As a side note to this incident, a vehicle passing by at the time of the shooting had its rear window shot out. The driver sustained no injuries. The victim has not been identified pending notification of next of kin
