Five Year-Old Boy Injured in Traffic Accident
Los Angeles: On Tuesday, July 11th, 2000 at approximately 7:00 PM, George Springer, a sixty-nine year old resident of Sepulveda, was driving a 1986 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck southbound on Ventura Canyon Avenue, north of Wentworth Street. A five year-old resident of Panorama City, ran into the street for an unknown reason. The witnesses at the scene stated the boy had been playing with other children in front of an apartment building. The five year-old child was airlifted to UCLA Medical Center, where he was treated for a fractured skull with internal bleeding, and lacerations to his left knee, left foot, and right foot. He also sustained abrasions to his right arm and head. He is currently listed in serious condition.
