"Home Invasion Robbery in West LA"

West Los Angeles: On Thursday, July 13, 2000, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a suspect entered a residence in the 10300 Block of Tennessee Avenue through an open rear window. The suspect confronted an elderly couple and their middle age daughter, simulated a handgun and demanded money and jewelry. The victims turned over the demanded items and the suspect then fled through the same window, which he had used to gain entry.

There were no injuries to the victims.

The responding officers set up a perimeter and utilized canines in the search for the suspect, but he eluded capture.

The suspect was described as a male, African American, light complexion, 5'10"/ 6'00", 150/160 pounds, black curly hair, between 20/30 years of age.

The investigation is being conducted by Robbery-Homicide Division, Valley/ West Regional Office. Anyone with information is asked to contact the investigating detectives at 818-756-8309 or Detective Headquarters Division at 213-485-2505 during non-business hours.
