Saturday, July 15, 2000



"Shooting Victim Dies"

Los Angeles: On Friday, July 14, 2000, at approximately, 6:30 PM, Billy John Hill, 22 years old, was a passenger in a white/red, 4-door, 1977 Chevrolet. The car was traveling southbound on Crenshaw Boulevard and approaching Slauson Avenue, when another car, with an unknown number of suspect(s), drove up along side and fired several rounds into the victim's car. Hill sustained a single gunshot wound to the head. The driver immediately transported Hill to a local hospital, where he died as the result of the gun-shot wound.

Suspect(s) and weapon remain outstanding. The motive appears to be gang-related.
