Los Angeles: Born in Budapest Hungary in 1967, City of Los Angeles Security Officer Peter Zoltan Feher grew up dreaming of becoming a United States citizen and eventually an LAPD officer. On the day before our Independence Day, Feher will realize his goal of becoming a United States Citizen and begin the final steps to achieving his career choice as a police officer of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Joining the Hungarian Army in 1985, Feher has amassed an enormous amount of training and experience that will prove to be an invaluable asset to the LAPD. A regiment member of the "Specialized Border Patrol", Feher was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and recognized for his outstanding duty and performance. Emigrating to the United States in 1996, Feher quickly assimilated into American society by learning English and gaining employment as a Los Angeles City Employee. Employed in the position of security officer and assigned to LAPD Edward M. Davis Training Facility, Feher has proven to be an outstanding City employee. As a result of his hard work and tenacity to become an LAPD police officer, Feher is currently attending college while working full time at the LAPD police training center in Granada Hills. Presently, Feher is in the LAPD application process and is anticipating becoming an officer in the near future.
Noting his dedication, the staff of the Davis Training Center will be attending the Citizenship Ceremony and host a celebration at approximately 11:00 a.m., at the Edward M. Davis Training Facility, 12001 Blucher Avenue in Granada Hills.
