The National Celebration, "National Night Out" to Unite America’s Neighborhoods

Los Angeles: The ultimate goal of National Night Out is focusing on uniting neighborhoods and working together with local law enforcement agencies to improve their quality of life. Sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and local law enforcement agencies, National Night Out is a collaborated effort to achieve a society free from the incidence and fear of crime.

Los Angeles Police Department Area Community Police Stations, and their communities, will be participating in National Night Out to voice support for safer neighborhoods and to speak out in opposition of criminal activity. Some events may include cook-outs, block parties, residents in a specific reporting district turning their porch lights on (a blue light represents support for law enforcement), or open houses at Community Area Stations.
