Hot Prowler Captured On Camera
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police
Department’s West Los Angeles Area Detective Division is seeking the
public’s help in identifying a suspect responsible for two residential
burglaries in the Brentwood Area of Los Angeles.
On Thursday, June 24, 2003 at about 1:00 a.m., the suspect, a male White
entered the victim's residence through the unlocked rear sliding door. In
the second occurrence, the suspect used a chair to gain entrance to the
residence through a bathroom window. Once inside, the suspect accosted the
victims while they slept in their bedroom. While pointing a handgun at the
victims, the suspect demanded money, jewelry and access to their safe
(neither victim had a safe). The suspect used bodily force against the
victims in addition to the handgun, in order to gain compliance. Once the
suspect obtained the property, the suspect ran out the front door and
entered a vehicle.
Surveillance videotape caught the suspect’s image and is available to the
media at the Media Relations Office located at 150 North Los Angeles Street,
Room 626. The suspect is described as a male White or Hispanic, 5'5"to 5'8"
tall, 130-160 lbs., 20-30 years of age, and has an olive complexion.
