C.A.R.E. Alert Issued

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting that the media provide the public with the following information to assist law enforcement efforts in locating 15 year-old Chelsey Fasavalu.
On June 21, 2004, Chelsey and her 18 year-old brother, Kalapu Fasavalu III, were taken by their father on a trip to Hawaii via Sacramento Airport on June 22, 2004. The father advised the children’s mother that he would return both children on July 4, 2004.
As of July 5, 2005, both children have not been returned to their mother, nor has there been any contact from the father. Although there is no custody order between the parents, a divorce paper was served on May 11, 2004. Both parents have remained living together in their residence with their children, but do not socialize with each other and are not to take the children out of state without permission from one another.
The children and the father possibly headed for American Samoa where a family reunion had been scheduled during the 4th of July weekend.
Chelsey has black hair, brown eyes, 5’ 5", 120 lbs., and slim build with medium complexion. The father, Kalapu Fasavalu Jr. has black hair, brown eyes, 5’ 11’, 205 lbs.
