Sobriety and Driver License Checkpoint

When:
Friday, July 1, 2005, at 8:00 p.m.

Where:
Alvarado Street between Wilshire Boulevard and 6th Street

Why:
During the year, we gathered statistical information on traffic collisions, arrest for driving under the influence (DUI), and hit and run traffic collisions.  We are utilizing a problem solving technique directed at the reduction in these categories of traffic collisions.  A combined sobriety and driver license checkpoint will focus attention on education and enforcement of impaired and unlicensed drivers.
